Handicap rating may be a touch above his level following Listed level win in Queensland (up 14 points from 78 to 92).
Bred from a sprinting sire out of an unraced dam with some stamina in her pedigree. Second dam PENELOPE STAR has produced winning stayers and she placed over 2400m.
Well bred from a Triple Crown winning sire out of a dam that won a G1 over 2000m in NZ and loved dry tracks.
Talented import that can mix his form a touch and he does tend to run his races in patches too. Has a good sprint on his day over around a mile and handles good to soft ground.
Tough on-pacer that tries to roll along and grind his opponents into the turf. Loves wet tracks.
Performs well when he gets into a nice rhythm. Flowing near pace or midfield off an honest tempo suit.
Had a big first campaign which culminated in a very testing run in the G1 Spring Champion when he dropped out. Signs are he could be a stayer, but he has a mixed pedigree so his late season 3YO campaign will teach us a lot.
He is one of those big, long (bodied) staying horses. He’s got a long stride and puts his head down.
Nice balanced frame (photos). He looks to be a pretty bombproof Waller galloper that can get near pace, quicken and fight. Yet to be tested on firm ground under race conditions.
