A big field from all over NSW take on the Country Championships Final after qualifiers across the state. With big prize money on offer and some tough gallopers engaged, expect a very competitive 1400m. Rodney Northam brings VOODOO LAD from Scone, a young 3YO that travels beautifully in his races and is sure to go onto better things. He managed to hold off Paul Messara's TARANGOWER last start and both will be competitive again. The other key qualifying races look to be Bathurst, in which BINALONG ROAD was never in doubt, and Goulburn, where WITHOUT A SHADOW and JUST A BLUR fought it out. ARTLEE and Albury Guineas winner LOVED UP are right in the race too after impressive recent wins.
