He’s led all the way and run good time at his last two Newcastle starts, but he really could have used the apprentice’s claim again - carrying 58kg is a hard ask. CARELESS and GRANDE PUNTO (genuine 1500m too far?) won’t be far from the pace and both have solid each-way claims along with MARENOSTRO (dry 1500m too short?) if he can get in from the wide barrier. The swooper BERRIMILLA paraded beautifully last start and raced accordingly, she’s right in this again. VITE LONI is the knock-out hope.
