The favourite Rugged Cross who will be looking to atone for a luckless run last start when he was flattened at the 200m then eased down. He has some wet form and a cut up track can often bring the small and tough types to their best performances. The others in the market are the perennial placegetter Said Com, who ran his usual race finishing thereabouts in a stronger event last start, and the lightly-raced Zabeel gelding Commission, who adds interest but may be suited over a touch further.
