Waller brings Black Jag to the race after his 6 length romp and he has a chance again, while the other stable runner Rugged Cross looks a risk stepping out to a longer distance. The most interesting runners are the imports Sir John Hawkwood and Sabor a Triunfo, who have the scope to become good quality staying gallopers and are capable of out-classing this field. The tough horses Transonic, Keep Cool and Darci Be Good will be hard to run past, but it looks like there are a couple on the way up ready to take the next step here.
