Early season 3YOs hit the track to try and get some black-type. Plenty of speed with the 'Tycoons' OXFORD TYCOON and GOLDEN TYCOON engaged, along with CHARGE and SANDBAR out wider (STRONG to FAIR tempo). SANDBAR looked good in his trials and brings a big peak rating into the race from last prep (2nd to Written By). He'll be hard to beat, but the best chances might be the speedsters down in the weights. OXFORD TYCOON and GOLDEN TYCOON (beautiful fluid stride) both impressive last start and will be hard to run down on 54kg, RINGERDINGDING worth a look in the yard first-up, as is LEGEND OF CONDOR (each-way hope). PLAGUE STONE and CHARGE right in the mix if they can improve again. A wide open race, perhaps on-pacers on a dry Rosehill are the way to play. [updated 9:21am]
