Only a handful of stayers for the Christmas Cup and of course one of them is the evergreen DESTINY'S KISS. No tempo to speak of, OUR CENTURY perhaps going forward with HEARTLET (prefers cover?) and EXOTERIC (expected tempo: SLOW with LONG SPRINT). EXOTERIC got the right run last start and James McDonald drove him clear over 2000m. He's flying for Waller, but is up in the weights now. OUR CENTURY ended up in a very tricky spot against EXOTERIC, facing the breeze with no cover as they set off for a long sprint home, his run arguably just as good as the winner. The risk for OUR CENTURY is extending the prep to third-up (three tries, three placings). DESTINY'S KISS a huge player up to 2400m, coming off a similar set up in May when he turned around a few lengths over 2000m to beat OUR CENTURY over 2400m. His record over the Randwick 2400m is incredible and he seems to enjoy these small fields with a long sprint home. WALL OF FIRE very capable of winning too if back to his best, the two Randwick runs this prep both strong and his peak ratings are simply better than the rest of this field. [updated 8:44am]
