Some middle-distance gallopers with mixed form in this 1800m contest. RIGHTEOUSNESS should take up the lead from perhaps SEABABE coming across from out wide (STEADY to FAIR tempo). MANGIONE is the progressive horse on the way up, coming off a strong 1900m where he was ridden perfectly by J Mac. There are a couple of others with upside in the race though too, CALIFORNIAFIREBIRD (quiet trial), SUBBAN and KING'S PEAK all capable of getting into the finish.
