The middle-distance 2000m race sets up as a great little betting race with a speed map you could almost put your house on. Laidback Larry and Done Nothin' Wrong are the go forward horses and are both tough one-paced types that will be hard to run down. The latter gets a 4.5kg turnaround on his stable-mate Multilateral, who only just got the better of him last start. Which horse gets the prize heavily depends on how James McDonald and Serg Lisnyy ride the race. If they manage to control the tempo then it is hard to see anything else running them down, except perhaps Single (superior turn-of-foot). If the tempo is genuine, then the swoopers Sabor a Triunfo and Too Hi Tek will come into play late. Almost anything can win so finding value is the key to winning in this one.
