SMARTEDGE looked sharp in a trial (2nd), handles the wet well and has some strong form-lines for this. He sets the benchmark, but there would be no surprise if DIO D'ORO (loves Randwick, nice trials) or SIMPLY OPTIMISTIC (promising, nice trials in NZ) got the job done first-up too.
