Starting with a nice Maiden on what is hopefully a GOOD FAIR track with the rail TRUE. A warm day and northerly breeze though so watch out for any on-pace bias if the track firms up. Early speed from COCK MATCH here ad it's hard to say who will join him upfront, BONDI BLUE (blinkers on) one that could be a little closer. COCK MATCH drops back in grade and sets a decent benchmark for the others to beat, but there are some promising horses in the race. DAUMIER laid in on debut when 3rd in a strong 2YO race and the trials since have looked good. BONDI BLUE and IRISH ANGEL did enough first-up to be in the mix. MAISAA rates right around the mark. Knock-out hopes to LIARA (can settle close, 1400m suits) and QUINTESSA (strong finisher). DEEP ENCOUNTER and ENDLESS RIVER fair in the trials.
