Canterbury with the rail TRUE on a drying SOFT track, a set up that can result in some NEAR RAILS bias, always the chance of being ON-PACE here too. BLONDEAU is back to the track following a strong debut and OK 4th in Queensland, his trial just OK when 3rd under some urging. There are a couple of threats from the first starters; ON THE LEAD (touch slow to begin, nice 1st and 2nd), LAST EIGHTYATE (on-ace, nice 2nd and 2nd to Every Rose, form around winners) and REAL EMPRESS (ran on OK 4th) all showing enough to figure. SIDEARM also looked OK at the trials (2nd to Blaze a Trail). CRYPTOGRAM (slow to begin, plain 6th of 7) is bred for longer distances. [FORM GUIDE only]
