Lots of trials to look at here in the opening race, in order of those we liked; CODEBREAKER (on-pace, good 3rd and 2nd to decent horses), NEVER NEVER NEVER (led, won two trials easily in fair time), OCEAN EMPEROR (2nd to CODEBREAKER in trial last prep when safely held, the won trial this prep), LONG WEEKEND (led, urged for close 2nd to DAMAGED), OVERLORD (won trial last prep, OK to line 5th recent trial), SAGACIOUS (near pace 2nd and 2nd to OCEAN EMPEROR) and TIP TOP TIMING (back, plain trials). Of the raced horses, DAMAGED ( near pace, nice trial win) with better on-track and trial form than FORMENTERA (ridden for 5th behind DAMAGED, then ridden for 2nd in trials) and HOT SPRING COLD (4th and 4th in trials).
