Not an easy race to pick over 1600m. EMBLEY should roll forward with ARRAIGNMENT at a FAIR to STEADY tempo, ARRAIGNMENT weighted to give this a real shake and shouldn't be too far away and that form-line gives an each-way chance to ABDON too, who could be the one swooping out wide if the track suits. ETYMOLOGY (had nice run behind winner) and ALL TOO SOON (had every chance) both gallopers with a touch of class that just need to do a bit more to win here. LIVE AND FREE needs an even bigger step up after grinding home fresh (bias against) on a Kenso track that had a few tricks, AMANITO fell victim to the same course too and isn't hopeless here if the tempo is honest. MEROVEE wants a stronger tempo too (slow starter). Perhaps just play SMART AS YOU THINK (well suited here, rarely wins) a place in a race with so many questions! [updated 7:47am]
