The staying race of the day and it is far from a Saturday afternoon dawdle with four tough on-pacers engaged. Oriental Lady, Phrases, Tohunga and Jarilee all lack a turn-of-foot and rely on pure stamina to grind their opponents into submission. The best stayer may reign supreme and the German mare Oriental Lady has the credentials out of those four to be keeping on best. The risk for her is Chris Waller's Saigon Tea, who will be stalking near the back ready to pounce at the end. She had some bad luck last start and her ability to maintain a strong run to the line sets her up well for her first try at 2400m. Miss Zenella is the other mare in the race and she looked to find some form last start, but needs to improve again to compete. It sets up like a European staying race, so will the German find herself at home, or can Waller take the prize again?
