A few scratchings in this 1300m sprint. CONARCHIE expected to push on for the lead from out wide, horses like BANGKOK, CONDOR and LJUNBERG near the pace too with SHOCK ALERT. LJUNBERG has always shown some talent and seems to profile well here, but he's no moral. He's had his chances this prep and all the HEAVY track form is at Canterbury, very different to the surface he gets today (plus he's a muscular son of I Am Invincible, not your typical wet tracker). A better play might be BANGKOK each-way, who is so reliable and ran a close 3rd to Turnberry last time in the mud. CONDOR and CHARRETERA have some upside so seem the other two key winning hopes. SHOCK ALERT looked good in the trials and finished off last prep well so shouldn't be discounted despite poor wet track form. [updated 9:25am]
