The inaugural $1 million Bondi Stakes brings a decent field together, a couple on the fringe of G1s and plenty with upside for the future. COLADA the likely leader rolling along at a FAIR to STRONG tempo with JUST THINKIN’ and ERNO right on his hammer. KUBRICK is the class horse following his 5th in the G1 Golden Rose and unlucky run in the G1 Caulfield Guineas. With blinkers on he can trail up behind the hot speed and be right in the finish late. Both JUST THINKIN' and ERNO will be hard to shake though, JUST THINKIN' back from a solid 4th in the G1 Spring Champion and ERNO performing strongly against the older horses all prep. BOTTEGA (blinkers on, progressing), COLADA (any bias would help), PANCHO (solid win) and KOOWEERUP (just as good as BOTTEGA) next best. [updated 9:04am]
