A few winners come into this race up in the weights over 1600m, none more-so than SOMETHING FAST who was dominant over 1400m last start, but is effectively off a 5.5kg higher mark today (weight penalty, lost apprentice claim). He'll roll forward and could control a STEADY to FAIR tempo though so he remains the one to beat. PHAISTOS the obvious threat after running 2nd to SOMETHING FAST last start, the Godolphin galloper getting a decent weight swing up to 1600m today. MATOWI and SPENCER in the mix, but they did get very nice runs to win last start. CUTADEEL around the mark and TESTASHADOW is well-placed here on his best form, the track just might be a touch firm for him though. [updated 11:04am]
