Questions on almost every horse here over 1400m. CATESBY to go forward with company from TEST THE WORLD, SIR PLUSH and CONARCHIE also possible on-pacers (tempo: FAIR to STEADY). PECANS won't be far from the pace and perhaps she is the one that ticks most boxes. Her run last start alongside SPECTROSCOPE was fine on an unsuitable good Rosehill track. Back to home base in the wet seems ideal and the claim brings her to a reasonable weight. SPECTROSCOPE right in the mix too and should be quickening into the race through the wet. Risky runners include INVINZABEEL (won two trials for new trainer, wet?), SIR PLUSH (deep in prep, wet?), SIR BACCHUS (1400m too far on testing track?), SAYED (good fresh and likes wet, but over further?), TEST THE WORLD (rock solid, 1400m a touch too far?) and CATESBY (little bit better dry?). If you know the answer to all them, bet up! [updated 9:11am]
