A tricky little sprint race with a few traps. JUNGLE EDGE to roll forward at a FAIR tempo, the big boy getting some rain overnight to at least get around the soft range. The key hope is SINGLE BULLET down on 49kg back to 1000m. He's always been a horse that sprints and peaks over 1100m to 1200m, the recipe of a 1000m race, low weight, 'edge' off the track and small field seemingly the perfect set-up. The risk is he's getting deeper in the prep (hoof filler on now). JUNGLE EDGE will be hard to run down, then next in our ratings are BADAJOZ and MARSUPIAL, who are both threats for Godolphin if those two fail. Like SINGLE BULLET, MARSUPIAL definitely worth a shot back in distance after a nice trial. [updated 7:56am]
