A decent quality midweek sprint race, early speed from THE PHAROAH and TONSOR with a few others capable of pushing up too (tempo: FAIR to STRONG). TONSOR is a progressive type that won well last start over 1200m, but he'll need to improve to win this and was beaten 3rd-up at this track last prep. First-uppers CALCULATED (now gelded, long spell!) and INVICTUM DOMINA add a lot of interest, both progressive types themselves that fight hard over 1200m and the trials were nice. GHOSTLY (prefers soft?) and WHAT COULD BE (form only fair this track) are dropping back in grade along with TESSERA (had quiet tick-over trial into this).
