Finishing off the day with a 2000m race with lots of progressive stayers engaged. Enough early speed for a FAIR tempo, WHITE BOOTS, KING TOMLOLA and FABRICATOR coming across on-pace. It would be surprising if one of the improving types didn't win and there are five that fit that profile; DESERT PATH (loves 2000m, could handle wet, third-up now), SUPERNOVA (big run first-up, wet could be OK), BAJAN GOLD (good first-up, wet track runs were when out of form), ANGEL OF TRUTH (2000m and wet should suit, prefers Kembla?) and GEM DEALER (nice 3YO filly, could enjoy wet 2000m). Lots of "coulds" in there, which ever horse "does" love the conditions will get the prize. A few consistent place hopes including WHITE BOOTS. [updated 12:45pm]
