As is often the case in the G1 Sires', we are all guessing as to whether the Golden Slipper runners will be at their best after the test two weeks ago. The tempo wasn't as strong in that race this year though, so perhaps OOHOOD, SEABROOK and LONG LEAF have more in the tank than they would otherwise. OOHOOD was very strong to the line in the Slipper over 1200m and has always shaped as a filly that would relish the 1400m at Randwick. She'll just be hoping for a bit of tempo to surge home off (FAIR tempo forecast). If she's not at her best and the tempo doesn't come, SEABROOK could quicken best from the box seat after a very admirable 5th in the Slipper. LONG LEAF (good in Slipper, distance a risk?), BONDI, SEBERATE and RINGERDINGDING the each-way hopes in the mix if the two fillies fail. [updated 9:17am]
