The first of the Inglis features, $1 million on offer in the Inglis Sprint this year over 1100m. Plenty of speed should set up a STRONG tempo and given the big field you'll need some luck in running. Impossible to line up Golden Slipper winner ESITJAAB, who had one average trial in the Spring before dumping her rider in the one trial this time in. FIESTA an easier proposition to fit in, producing two strong trials and very well-suited on just 54kg. Stepping back to 1100m on wet for her should be fine. Plenty of others fresh to consider; SPIN (gelded, 1100m in wet suits) looked sharp just behind Sandbar, MIZZY won a trial well (stable flying), EVALINA handles wet and also a trial winner, ROYAL CELEBRATION solid (3rd), COTERIE solid (3rd) and DANAWI not too bad also (4th and 1st), well-beaten by FIESTA in the first of those trials. No trials for the gelded HIGH RATIO so keep an eye on the yard and market. WONDERBABE is tough and won't be too far away, LASHES a local sprinter off a decent win that could show some cheek.
