They've put some irrigation on the track (4mm last 24 hours, 22m last 7 days) to keep it from being too firm. Starting with 2YOs and there will be a STRONG tempo set up by COVERT OPS and FIERY RED who were on the pace in the Breeders' Plate back in September. FIERY RED has trialled very well since, but he trialled well too when 5th on debut behind COVERT OPS in 2nd, who also won a trial leading into this. Chances to run over the top include GARIBALDI, JONAH (nice quiet trial), ROTATOR and TENLEY, who was dour in a trial (4th) and should be keeping on late.
