A huge day of racing at Royal Randwick for Guineas day. The weather is fine in the lead-up, but watch out for changes on Saturday, a GOOD FAIR track with the rail in the TRUE hopefully. Starting with a high quality Group 3 mares sprint, early speed from ZA ZI BA, IN GOOD TIME and perhaps SWEET SCANDAL from wider with WINTER BRIDE moving up near the pace (tempo: FAIR to STEADY). Tempo may play a big part in this race, the strong swooper SPRIGHT racing in great form in Melbourne and she should be hitting the line here again. WINTER BRIDE with similar form references through Booker and perhaps gets the better run (she trialled well into this). RESIN nice at the trials too and hard to knock, a wetter track would have been better and she can sometimes improve 2nd-up though. LA BELLA DIOSA worth a look at in the yard and SWEET SCANDAL won't be far away, others may just have more upside. [updated 9:45am]
