A mares race with a few questions on most runners. Decent early pressure from PAULITA, ROMANTIC WHISPER, TORYJOY and LA CHICA BELLA out wider with PANDEMONIUM kicking up on the inside (FAIR to STRONG tempo). EVALINA and SWEET VICTORY ran on well off a strong tempo first-up, SWEET VICTORY perhaps the one with more obvious progression second-up to 1500m here. The inside draw is a plus too. Lots of other chances, including NICCI'S GOLD second-up (prefers softish track), SHOKORA (nice form), PUMPKIN PIE (wide last start, but deep in prep now), TORYJOY (raced keenly) and ZAVANCE (also prefers softish track).
