Quite an evenly-matched looking 1400m sprint. Early speed from CUBA coming across with LISDOONVARNA and maybe even MURILLO (blinkers on). LISDOONVARNA could get into a controlling position outside the lead, a tough wet-tracker that was good through the line first-up over 1200m. CUBA going well, but a risk on a genuinely testing HEAVY (one heavy run was on firmer Wyong track). Other chances include EUGENE'S PICK (unlucky first-up), CISCO BAY, CHALMERS and SUPER STAR BOB, who ran well on a SOFT 7 here last prep when 2nd to Penske. MASTER ASH OK first-up and should enjoy the 1400m, but has failed in the wet. [updated 7:54am]
