Royal Randwick for Championships Day Two and the much-publicised last race for our champion WINX in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes. A capacity crowd expected, the atmosphere set to build up towards the main event at just after 3pm. We raced here last week and the track was quite FAIR, the same expected with the rail out to +3 metres this week, perhaps a slight OFF RAILS bias towards the end of the day. Starting in the early hours, 2YOs over 1600m kick things off at 11:25am. A few capable of going forward, including POWER SCHEME, LUCKY IMPERATOR, EXTRAORDINARY and SIGNIFICANCE (tempo: FAIR to STEADY). The class horse is Godolphin filly AMERCEMENT who steps straight to 1600m off a freshen, her last run a very strong 4th behind Golden Slipper winner Kiamichi on HEAVY. POWER SCHEME was unlucky not to beat VINCO last start and will be tough to beat up to 1600m. AUTOCRATIC around the mark. SIGNIFICANCE and PERSAN kept on OK at Newcastle.
