The handicapper has really evened out this staying race over 2400m, ALWARD beating many of these last start, but jumps in the weights now and has to carry 58kg over a distance he's never won over before. The two stayers on the rise this prep that should relish the 2400m are HIGH BRIDGE and CAPITAL GAIN, both finding the line well last start and will be very hard to hold out. MISS MOANA is progressive too, but she's 7kg out of her grade now and an early move from CAPITAL GAIN (enjoys a real test) is likely to end any advantage she gets from an easy lead. MORTON'S FORK and EMPEROR'S WAY in the mix on form if they stay the 2400m, a slight leaning to MORTON'S FORK out of those two. NAVAL WARFARE has a chance on best form following some up-and-down runs lately. [updated 8:31am]
